Veolia Water Technologies partnered with a food manufacturer to resolve an emerging issue with hydrogen sulphide in the water treatment system. Staff at the site reported a foul odour, initially thought to be from drains but later traced back to hydrogen sulphide build-up in the water treatment system. Veolia identified the cause and recommended using their Hydrex 6935 chemical solution. This water treatment chemical effectively neutralized the hydrogen sulphide, eliminating the odour and preventing further formation. The solution was easy to apply, required minimal equipment, and provided immediate results. Since implementation, there has been no recurrence of the issue. Veolia's Business Development Manager highlighted the efficacy of Hydrex 6935 in addressing hydrogen sulphide problems, emphasizing its safety, quick action, and cost-effectiveness compared to other masking methods. This successful case study showcases the importance of proactive water treatment solutions for managing odour and improving overall water quality and sustainability.
