Advait Infratech, located in Kadi, Gujarat, is planning to expand its electrolyzer manufacturing capacity from 120 MW to 200 MW per year by 2025. The company entered the green energy sector in 2023 through its subsidiary, Greenergy, which focuses on electrolyser assembly, hydrogen production, fuel cell supply, and sustainable services like carbon consultancy. Advait Infratech's plant currently produces 0.3/0.5/1 MW electrolysis cell stacks and 2/4/8 MW modules. The company is one of the firms selected to receive government incentives for manufacturing electrolysers, which are crucial for green hydrogen production. Additionally, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has partnered with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) to transfer technology for a 50 kW alkaline electrolyzer system for hydrogen production. This technology, developed locally by BARC, aims to be commercialized by BHEL for applications in sectors such as refineries, fertiliser, steel, and transportation.
