Chinese company Envision revealed an investment of $1 billion for the construction of a hydrogen electrolyzer factory in Spain, marking a significant development in the country's green hydrogen sector. This investment contributes to the establishment of Europe's first green hydrogen and net-zero technology industrial park, enhancing Spain's position in the global green energy market. The project was disclosed during Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's trip to China, where he secured investments from major Asian companies. The electrolyzer factory is expected to begin construction in 2026, potentially creating a thousand jobs.
