ERM, a leading sustainability consultancy, has supported HYTLANTIC in securing EUR 62 million from the European Union’s Innovation Fund for the GreenH2Atlantic project in Portugal. This initiative aims to deploy a 100-MW electrolyser leveraging wind and solar energy to produce renewable hydrogen. The hydrogen will be supplied to the Sines refinery and blended into the natural gas grid, contributing to industrial decarbonization and enhancing regional competitiveness. Among 70 submissions, only eight hydrogen projects were chosen for funding, emphasizing the significance of GreenH2Atlantic. ERM's services encompass strategic project review, proposal development, and ongoing project assistance. Michael Dolman, ERM partner, expressed enthusiasm for supporting HYTLANTIC in this decarbonization endeavor and anticipates valuable insights for future green hydrogen ventures.
