- The 20 MW production capacity plant utilizes Sunfire's proven pressurized alkaline technology.
- Finland is on track to become a key player in the green hydrogen market, targeting to produce 10% of the EU's hydrogen by 2030.
Sunfire and P2X Solutions have successfully commissioned the first industrial plant for the commercial production of green hydrogen in Harjavalta, Finland. Nils Aldag, CEO of Sunfire, expressed pride in this flagship project in Europe, highlighting the significance of the electrolyzer's commercial operation. The plant, with a capacity of 20 MW, relies on Sunfire's pressurized alkaline technology. Furthermore, Ren-Gas, another Finnish developer, has also chosen Sunfire's technology for a 50 MW plant in Tampere. Finland's commitment to green hydrogen production is evident as it aims to contribute at least ten percent of the EU's hydrogen by 2030. This initiative solidifies Finland's position as a leading location for green hydrogen production and marks a significant milestone in the country's energy history.
