Ohmium International Launches Washington's First Green Hydrogen Transportation Network
Key Ideas
  • Ohmium International partners with Lewis County Transit to establish a green hydrogen transportation network using city water and clean electricity.
  • The company will install a 900 kW PEM electrolyzer system to produce green hydrogen for the county's hydrogen-powered buses, reducing emissions and streamlining logistics.
  • The electrolyzer system can generate up to 400 kg of green hydrogen per day, supporting the expansion of Lewis County Transit's hydrogen fleet to ten buses by 2030.
Ohmium International, a green hydrogen player, has been selected as the electrolyzer supplier for Lewis County Transit's Zero Emission Transportation Network in Washington state. They will install a 900 kW PEM electrolyzer system at a new Zero Emissions Transit Station to produce green hydrogen using city water and clean electricity from the grid. This initiative aims to power the county's expanding fleet of hydrogen buses, reducing emissions and increasing sustainability in public transport. Ohmium's electrolyzer system will generate up to 400 kg of green hydrogen per day, eliminating the need for fuel delivery and supporting the operation of 10 hydrogen buses. The project is a significant step towards zero-emission public transportation in the Pacific Northwest and is expected to be operational by the summer of 2025. The expansion of Lewis County Transit's hydrogen fleet from three to ten buses by 2030 highlights the commitment to green hydrogen technology and sustainable transportation practices.
