Ohmium International, a prominent green hydrogen company specializing in advanced PEM electrolyzers, has been honored with the SIGHT Incentive Program award for the second time by MNRE in India. The award, under Tranche II, provides support for up to 137 MW of capacity, recognizing Ohmium's high-performance electrolyzers and economic contributions. Arne Ballantine, CEO of Ohmium, highlighted the award's importance for the company's mission and commitment to global decarbonization efforts, particularly in India. Ohmium, the sole PEM electrolyzer manufacturer acknowledged in Tranche II, had earlier success in Tranche I. The company's involvement in the SIGHT program, managed by SECI, aligns with India's sustainability objectives by promoting domestic electrolyzer manufacturing. With plans to expand the Gigafactory in Bangalore and establish local manufacturing facilities, Ohmium aims to bolster India's position as a global energy hub, as emphasized by Ballantine. Ohmium's leadership in the Indian market is evident through partnerships with NTPC and Tata Projects, alongside a significant green hydrogen project pipeline exceeding 2 GW across various industries globally.
