The Clean Hydrogen Partnership has launched its 2025 Call for Proposals under the Horizon Europe programme, with a significant budget of €184.5m ($190m). This initiative marks the partnership's advancement into the technology upscaling phase, aiming to support projects that achieve cost-effective green hydrogen production, develop storage solutions, and deliver reliable fuel cell systems for heavy-duty vehicles and maritime applications. Notably, €80m is earmarked for the Hydrogen Valleys initiative to broaden hydrogen's applications and address market challenges. Valerie Bouillon-Delporte, the Executive Director, highlighted the strategic focus on advancing fuel cell technologies, enhancing hydrogen electrolysis efficiency, and fortifying Europe's hydrogen infrastructure. The call emphasizes reducing production costs, improving material durability, and ensuring safety. The deadline for proposal submissions is April 23, 2025, through the EU's Funding and Tenders portal. This funding opportunity aims to propel research and innovation for a competitive and sustainable hydrogen value chain in Europe.
