  • The collaboration aims to showcase compatibility between HELION's fuel cells and methanol-generated hydrogen, addressing energy storage constraints.
  • The partnership emphasizes the use of liquid hydrogen vectors to enhance on-site energy storage capacity and reduce barriers to hydrogen adoption.
  • Both companies expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the importance of green molecules like methanol in driving future energy innovations.
HELION Hydrogen Power, a French fuel cell manufacturer, and M Reformer, a Spanish hydrogen generation company, have teamed up to integrate proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell technology with methanol reformers. The partnership focuses on demonstrating the compatibility of HELION's 100 kW fuel cell with M Reformer's E-NOMAD system, designed for off-grid energy generation. By combining these technologies, the companies aim to advance sustainable energy solutions by utilizing high-quality hydrogen produced from methanol. This integration addresses energy storage challenges and aims to meet the growing demand for on-site energy storage. Vincent Mahéo, President of HELION, emphasized the importance of using green hydrogen from methanol to enhance energy storage capacity for clients. Similarly, Javier Torres, Managing Director of M Reformer, expressed pride in the collaboration, highlighting their commitment to green molecules like methanol. The partnership is seen as a significant step in product development, paving the way for multi-vector hydrogen functions in energy systems. Both companies are dedicated to promoting the adoption of green technology and overcoming existing barriers to widespread hydrogen use.
