Panasonic unveiled its Panasonic HX project in Ottobrunn, Munich, as a pioneering sustainable energy solution powered by green hydrogen. The project integrates five hydrogen fuel cells of 10kW power each with a photovoltaic system to provide 100% green electricity to its Customer Experience Center. This initiative not only serves as a showcase of advanced technology solutions for various industries but also as a testament to Panasonic's commitment to decarbonization and reducing CO2 emissions. The project, completed within a year, involved local partners specialized in green hydrogen energy and architecture, highlighting a collaborative approach towards sustainable energy solutions. With the installation of 190kWp photovoltaic system and hydrogen fuel cell systems controlled by an Energy Management System, the site aims to cover its electricity requirements mainly through renewable sources, contributing to a more sustainable future. The project in Ottobrunn is part of Panasonic's long-term GREEN IMPACT sustainability strategy, with the company investing around 130 million Euros in developing the technology for Panasonic HX. By demonstrating a modern hydrogen transformation and scalable energy solutions, Panasonic is paving the way for a greener and more sustainable energy landscape.
