Fuel supplier Ryze Power has entered into a partnership with Ricardo, a technical center in Shoreham, UK, to provide green hydrogen for testing purposes. This collaboration aims to support Ricardo in its testing of hydrogen fuel cell systems and the development of hydrogen and hybrid engine technologies. The Shoreham facility, already recognized as a global center of excellence for hydrogen-related technologies, is focused on advancing capabilities in alternative fuels, hybridization, electrification, and fuel cell design and integration. By expanding its range of hydrogen and fuel cell services, Ricardo intends to cater to global customers in industries such as off-highway, light commercial, marine, and aerospace. Tim Bassett, head of test at Ricardo, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, emphasizing the importance of a regular supply of sustainable green hydrogen to fuel the facility's activities. He highlighted hydrogen's potential as an energy carrier with vast applications in driving the transition towards sustainable propulsion in various sectors. With a recent doubling of hydrogen test capacity, Ricardo aims to deliver innovative solutions aligned with customer needs and explore new opportunities in emerging markets and industries.
