Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Co., Ltd. (SHPT) has formed a strategic partnership with GH2 Global, a Brazilian hydrogen solutions provider, to accelerate the adoption of fuel cell technology in Brazil's transportation and industrial sectors. The collaboration aims to leverage each company's expertise and market networks to integrate hydrogen fuel cell solutions into public transportation, logistics, construction machinery, and energy storage, contributing to sustainable energy development. Brazil, as Latin America's largest economy and oil producer, is rapidly growing its renewable energy market and has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The enactment of Law No. 14948/2024 establishes a legal framework for low-carbon hydrogen production, aligning with the country's emissions reduction goals. GH2 Global, known for industrial hydrogen solutions, plans to expand hydrogen applications in logistics and transportation in Brazil, utilizing its parent company Gali Energia's extensive experience in sustainable energy. SHPT, a prominent player in China's hydrogen and fuel cell industry, sees this collaboration as an opportunity to expand into South America. SHPT has a track record of deploying fuel cell solutions in various vehicles and power generation applications in China. Zheng Yuanchun, head of SHPT's overseas business, expressed confidence in the partnership's ability to provide sustainable solutions for Brazil's logistics sector and accelerate hydrogen adoption in the country.
