TÜV SÜD has been chosen by the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) to operate a cutting-edge Green Hydrogen Test and Demonstration Facilities (GHTDF) site in Aberdeen, UK. The collaboration agreement between TÜV SÜD and ETZ Ltd marks a significant milestone in advancing hydrogen technologies at an industrial scale. The project, set to be one of TÜV SÜD's primary green hydrogen test sites globally, will focus on testing key equipment such as electrolysers, valves, and meters to ensure their long-term safety and reliability. With an expected operational start in early 2027, the GHTDF will offer open access test facilities for companies looking to test innovative hydrogen technologies. This initiative aims to drive further investment and facilitate hydrogen production at scale for the local economy, positioning Aberdeen as a key player in the energy transition.
