Greening Urban Logistics: Hydrogen-Powered Refrigerated Trucks Revolutionize Cold-Chain Transport in Chongqing
Key Ideas
  • Hydrogen-powered refrigerated trucks with Guohong Hydrogen Energy's fuel cell systems are enhancing urban cold-chain logistics efficiency in Chongqing.
  • These trucks serve local catering brands, delivering up to 300 cold-chain goods per day with zero carbon emissions and high energy conversion efficiency.
  • The project is a collaborative effort between Yuhong Chuangneng, Wuyijia Supply Chain Company, and Guohong Hydrogen Energy, contributing to the green modernization of Chongqing.
  • Guohong Hydrogen Energy will deepen cooperation with Yuhong Chuangneng to expand the application of hydrogen energy in transportation scenarios like urban distribution and port transportation.
Recently in Chongqing, hydrogen-powered refrigerated trucks equipped with Guohong Hydrogen Energy's fuel cell systems have been introduced into operation. These trucks, in partnership with Yuhong Chuangneng and Wuyijia Supply Chain Company, focus on two major smart logistics hubs in the city's Shapingba District, catering to local brands like Longji Shancheng Tangyuan and C98 Burger. They have the capability to deliver 300 cold-chain goods daily, surpassing 8,000 pieces per month, thereby significantly boosting urban cold-chain logistics efficiency. Compared to traditional diesel trucks, hydrogen fuel cell refrigerated trucks provide various advantages including zero carbon emissions, eliminating the risk of food contamination from diesel odors, and offering high energy conversion efficiency. Guohong Hydrogen Energy, a key player in the Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor construction, will continue its collaboration with Yuhong Chuangneng to further integrate hydrogen energy in transportation like urban distribution and port services, promoting environmentally friendly practices in Chongqing's evolution towards sustainability.
