Honda is set to unveil the Class 8 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Concept Truck at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Jakarta. This marks the beginning of a project to produce fuel cell-powered products for the North American market. The move is part of Honda's global goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The Class 8 truck, powered by three new fuel cell systems, will be mass-produced at the Fuel Cell System Manufacturing, LLC in Michigan, a joint venture with General Motors. These new systems, developed collaboratively with GM, significantly enhance performance and endurance while reducing costs. Honda has outlined four core domains for its fuel cell system: fuel cell electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, stationary power plants, and construction equipment. The company is actively seeking collaborations to bring this technology to the North American market.
