At the IAA TRANSPORTATION Press Day in Hanover, MAN Truck & Bus' newly developed heavy-duty truck, the hTGX, equipped with a hydrogen combustion engine, was awarded the Truck Innovation Award 2025. This marks the third win for MAN, following their victories in 2019 and 2023. The hTGX, powered by a MAN H4576 six-cylinder hydrogen engine, impressed with its diesel-like performance and driveability during a road test in Austria. The judges praised its virtually zero-emission CO₂ footprint, 600-kilometer range, and simplified exhaust gas aftertreatment system. The ITOY jury, comprised of 25 commercial vehicle editors, recognized the hTGX as a significant step in decarbonizing road transport, particularly in heavy-duty applications. MAN's commitment to green hydrogen as a fuel source for the future was underscored, positioning the hTGX as a practical, sustainable solution in the commercial vehicle industry.
