Volvo Trucks is set to showcase a diverse range of trucks at the IAA Transportation event in 2024. The exhibit will feature a variety of vehicles and technologies, including the new European FH Aero and the debut of the American VNL in Europe. Noteworthy additions to the lineup include the FM Low-Entry, the first Volvo truck with battery-electric drive, and models with hydrogen fuel cells and electric drivetrains. One of the highlights is the fuel cell test truck based on the FH, demonstrating Volvo Trucks' commitment to hydrogen combustion engines. The company also plans to introduce the FH Electric Long-Range with an electric axle, enhancing its range and enabling zero tailpipe emissions transportation over longer distances. Volvo Trucks aims to support hauliers with high annual mileage and a focus on reducing CO2 emissions. With a portfolio of eight electric truck models, Volvo Trucks positions itself as a pioneer in the medium and heavy-duty electric truck segment. These models cater to various transport needs, including distribution, construction site, waste management, and soon, long-distance transport. The company has delivered over 3,800 electric trucks to customers across 46 countries, contributing to reducing global carbon emissions. In line with its sustainability goals, Volvo Trucks is working towards achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. The company plans to operate on three tracks: battery electric trucks, fuel cell trucks, and trucks with combustion engines running on renewable fuels like green hydrogen, biogas, or HVO. This strategic approach aligns with Volvo Trucks' commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation in the transportation sector.
