Avooma Airlines, based in the UK, has entered into an exclusive partnership with The AirCraft Company from the USA to explore the utilization of hybrid-electric aircraft for regional travel. The focus of this collaboration is on The AirCraft Company’s Pangea® aircraft, which boasts the capability to fly up to 400km using battery power alone and up to 800km with a SAF- and hydrogen-compatible range extender. This initiative aims to pave the way for zero-carbon flights connecting the UK, Ireland, and various European cities, with a decision on fleet implementation anticipated later this year.
