GPS Renewables, a technology and engineering company in India focusing on clean fuels, has teamed up with SAF One, based in Dubai, to establish a facility in India producing 20-30 million liters of Sustainable Aviation Fuel annually. This initiative aims to utilize lignocellulosic waste feedstock and aligns with India's plan to introduce mandatory SAF blending in aviation fuel, starting with a 1-5% blend by 2027. Mainak Chakraborty, CEO of GPS Renewables, expressed the importance of collaborative efforts in overcoming production challenges for Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The partnership with SAF One signifies a significant step towards achieving this goal. Besides, GPS Renewables has been actively involved in various biofuel technology projects, including green hydrogen, showcasing their commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
