Evia Aero, a German company dedicated to sustainable and carbon-neutral aviation, has made a significant move towards reducing emissions in the aviation industry by signing a deal with Britten-Norman to purchase 15 Britten-Norman Islander aircraft. These aircraft, set to be delivered in 2027, will be converted to zero-emissions platforms powered by hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion systems, marking a shift towards greener aviation technology. The agreement also includes plans for redesigning the Islander's interior to enhance the passenger experience, aiming to set new standards for regional travel. CEO of Evia Aero, Florian Kruse, expressed full commitment to the Britten-Norman Islander for short-haul flights, emphasizing its global recognition and reliability.
