The facility, built for NTPC Ltd, has a capacity to produce 80kg of green hydrogen per day and was constructed over two years in challenging conditions at a height of 3,400 meters above sea level, with temperatures ranging from -25°Celsius to 30°Celsius. The inauguration of the fuelling station was carried out by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, highlighting the importance of the project. The completion of this station is set to revolutionize green mobility in and around Leh and positions India as a pioneering country in the green hydrogen space.
