The luxury segment of the industry saw the introduction of Ilma, an LNG-fuelled ultra-luxury ship by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. This vessel embarked on its maiden voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome, marking a significant step towards sustainable luxury cruising. On the sustainability front, Norwegian company Torghatten Nord is making strides with the construction of two new Ro-Pax ferries equipped with hydrogen propulsion systems. This initiative, in partnership with Myklebust Verft shipyard, highlights the industry's shift towards cleaner energy sources.
