Amara Raja Infra, a part of the Amara Raja Group, has completed the establishment of India's first green hydrogen fuelling station in Leh, Ladakh. This milestone project aims to promote emission-free transport in and around Leh, positioning India as a leader in the green mobility sector. Inaugurated by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, the station is executed for NTPC and includes operationalising 5 hydrogen fuel cell buses. The project, completed over two years, involved various stages from designing to commissioning and includes 3 years of maintenance. Despite extreme conditions at an altitude of 3,400 meters, the station with a capacity to produce 80kg of GH2 per day signifies a significant leap in green energy infrastructure. Amara Raja Infra's successful completion affirms their expertise and entrance into the green hydrogen sector, setting the stage for larger hydrogen mobility projects in India.
