German-based Quest One has been chosen to supply two 1MW PEM electrolysers for a hydrogen refuelling station project near Düsseldorf. The electrolysers will be utilized to produce hydrogen on-site at a refuelling station planned for Mechernich, North Rhine-Westphalia. Regional Transport Cologne (RVK), operators of over 100 hydrogen buses, will manage the station, which will mark their first facility with integrated hydrogen production. The site aims to generate up to 900kg of hydrogen daily and is expected to be operational by the end of 2026, with Ingenion overseeing the project delivery. Despite facing financial challenges that led to job cuts, Quest One is forging ahead in the hydrogen industry with this significant project.
