South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Co. has announced plans to build a hydrogen fuel cell plant within its industrial complex located in Ulsan. The new facility will specialize in producing hydrogen cells to power the NEXO, Hyundai's hydrogen-powered car, as well as other hydrogen vehicles like buses and trucks. Scheduled to commence construction in 2025, the plant aims to achieve mass production by 2028. It will incorporate cutting-edge technology for hydrogen cell production, including stack manufacturing and assembly processes integrated within a single factory.
