Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has provided a green hydrogen fuel cell bus to the Indian Navy to promote hydrogen and fuel cell technology for heavy-duty e-mobility. The initiative, aimed at positioning the Indian Navy as a pioneer in evaluating this technology, was celebrated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two entities. The collaboration, witnessed by top officials, emphasizes sustainability and environmental stewardship, with the bus symbolizing a commitment to innovation and green technology. Indian Oil, a premier energy company in India, is currently operating 15 fuel cell buses in Delhi-NCR and Gujarat, aiming to assess their performance in demanding climatic conditions. The project will analyze the impact of local fuel and air quality on fuel-cell systems and vehicles, evaluating their effectiveness and reliability for public fleet utilization. Additionally, Moody's stable outlook for IOCL acknowledges its strong balance sheet and status as India's largest refining and marketing company.
