Ohmium International, a green hydrogen company specializing in PEM electrolyzers, has been selected to supply electrolyzers for Lewis County Transit's Zero-Emission Transportation Network in Lewis County, Washington. The company will install a 900-kW PEM electrolyzer system at the new Zero-Emissions Transit Station to produce green hydrogen using city water and clean grid electricity. This system will fuel Lewis County's hydrogen-powered buses, with the capacity to generate 400 kg of green hydrogen per day. The installation marks a first in the Pacific Northwest and will help streamline logistics and increase sustainability by eliminating fuel delivery needs. The station is set to be operational by 2025, supporting the growth of Lewis County Transit's hydrogen-powered vehicle fleet from three buses to 10 by 2030. Joe Clark, the executive director of Lewis County Transit, praised the performance of hydrogen buses in the Pacific Northwest's cold climate and highlighted Ohmium's electrolyzer system's efficiency and small footprint. Ohmium's CEO, Arne Ballantine, emphasized the role of green hydrogen-powered public transport in emission reduction and sustainability. The company's technology is adaptable to various climates and space constraints, with a focus on integrating with renewable energy sources and ensuring quick installation.
