California Senator Alex Padilla recently announced the allocation of $2 million in federal funding to support the state's zero-emissions travel objectives. Among the 16 state projects benefiting from this allocation, Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) is receiving a substantial sum of nearly $77 million. The focus of these projects is on transitioning to low-emission bus models, with SacRT specifically opting for cleaner and more efficient hydrogen fuel cell buses.
