Solaris has secured an order to provide four 12-metre Urbino hydrogen buses to Artois Mobilités for the TADAO transport network in northern France. The buses are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2025 and will be integrated into the fleet to help in the decarbonisation efforts around Lens and Béthune. The partnership between Solaris and Artois Mobilités aims to leverage the benefits of hydrogen technology, such as emission-free operation, long ranges, fast refuelling, and a quiet ride experience. The buses will be equipped with fuel cells generating 70 kW of power, Solaris High Power traction batteries, high-efficiency air conditioning, and the eSConnect monitoring system for fleet management. Additionally, these hydrogen buses will meet GSR2 standards and feature a system to alert drivers of road users in blind spots. This collaboration highlights the commitment to sustainable public transport and the advancement of hydrogen-powered vehicles in France.
