Toyota New Zealand, in partnership with TR Group and Global Bus Ventures, has launched a hydrogen-powered 50-tonne prime mover for heavy freight transport. The truck, retrofitted as a zero-emission fuel cell electric vehicle, offers a practical zero-emissions solution with comparable refueling times to diesel. This initiative is part of a Government-supported program with Hiringa Energy, aiming to introduce 20 hydrogen-powered trucks to New Zealand's roads.
