Wrightbus has unveiled its cutting-edge hydrogen coach demonstrator at Cenex Expo held at UTAC Millbrook in the United Kingdom. The 300kw hydrogen coach represents a significant step towards decarbonizing the public transport sector. This milestone was achieved with successful government funding from the Department for Business and Trade, facilitated by the Advanced Propulsion Centre UK. Collaborating partners on this project include Queen's University Belfast and Symbio, showcasing a strong network of expertise. While known for its innovative bus solutions, Wrightbus is now focusing on tackling the decarbonization of coaches, recognizing the need for vehicles to travel longer distances with higher payloads. The prototype showcased at Cenex demonstrates promising results, with the ability to cover 1,000kms on a single refuel. This advancement underscores Wrightbus' commitment to innovation and sustainability in the transportation industry, building on its legacy of pioneering hydrogen and electric buses sold globally since 1946.
