India has reached a pivotal moment in its transportation sector with the launch of its first hydrogen-powered train, as announced by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The completion of the engine assembly signifies a significant step towards embracing sustainable rail transport. The prototype of the hydrogen-powered train's motorized wagon was unveiled at the Inno Rail India exhibition in Lucknow, showcasing its impressive power capacity of 2,400 kW and the ability to travel up to 375 km at a maximum speed of 110 km/h.
