The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has announced a substantial investment of over $2.4 billion in rail improvement projects across the United States, with a significant portion allocated to hydrogen-related initiatives in California, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. In California, $36.5 million will support the replacement of diesel locomotives with battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell locomotives.
