Air Liquide has finalized the sale of certain African activities to Adenia Partners, aligning with its strategy to actively manage its portfolio. These sold activities, accounting for around €60m in annual sales, form a small portion of Air Liquide's African business. Despite this divestment, the company remains dedicated to Africa, having invested approximately €700m in the region over the last three years. Air Liquide has a strong presence in Africa, particularly in energy transition, hydrogen initiatives, and healthcare sectors. Notably, its partnership with Sasol has led to significant progress in reducing carbon emissions, such as finalizing agreements to decarbonize oxygen production using renewable power sources. The MENA Industrial Gases Conference 2024, set to take place in Abu Dhabi, will focus on the region's potential in advancing decarbonisation, green energy, and industrial growth. This event aims to explore how the ambitious vision for 2030 in the Middle East & North Africa can drive industrial gas and equipment development.
