A Danish investment firm has acquired a 90 percent share in ABO Energy's proposed hydrogen and wind project on the Isthmus of the Avalon Peninsula in Canada. ABO Energy, a German energy company with a focus on renewable energy projects, transferred most of its shares to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a fund management partnership specializing in global renewable energy investments. The project has already received positive feedback, with a wind application recommendation from the province's Department of Energy. ABO Energy secured access to the required land by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Miawpukek First Nation as part of their Crown land bid submission. This agreement grants them access to extensive land areas covering most of the Isthmus and a region stretching from the Burin Peninsula Highway to Port Blandford. Despite the majority share transfer, ABO Energy will retain 10 percent ownership and remain actively involved in the project as a co-developer. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners will take the lead in managing the project's operations. This strategic partnership signifies a significant step towards the development of renewable energy initiatives in the region.
