In a significant move to boost green hydrogen production, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan, Saleh Kharabsheh, and the Regional Director of China Three Gorges International (CTGI) Renewable Energy Partners, Mohammad Abu Atieh, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct feasibility studies for green hydrogen projects in Jordan. The collaboration aims to produce 200,000 tons of green ammonia annually and outlines a framework for cooperation between the Jordanian government and CTGI. This strategic partnership reflects Jordan's ambitious vision to transform into a regional and global hub for hydrogen production and export, emphasizing the government's commitment to attracting investments in the hydrogen industry. The signed MoU is part of Jordan's broader efforts to position itself as a regional center for green energy production, capitalizing on its renewable energy resources and advantageous location. The initiative also aligns with the Economic Modernization Vision, focusing on clean energy transitions and investment in green hydrogen projects.
