In a significant move towards boosting India's renewable energy workforce, the POWERCON Group's Centre of Renewable Energy (CORE) has collaborated with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) to launch specialized education programs in clean energy technologies. With 12 courses covering solar, wind, energy storage, electric vehicles, and hydrogen set to commence by May 2025, the partnership aims to equip professionals and students with industry-relevant skills. This initiative comes in response to the rising need for skilled workers in India's expanding renewable energy sector, projected to require over 1.8 million workers by 2030. The courses will align with key national initiatives like the National Solar Mission and Green Hydrogen Mission, ensuring the training meets industry demands and government mandates. Upon completion, participants will receive certifications as Wind, Solar, or Renewable Energy Commandos, indicating their readiness to contribute to India's clean energy transition. This partnership not only offers academic programs but also facilitates internships, faculty exchanges, and job placements, providing practical exposure to real-world renewable energy projects.
