Senoko Energy, a prominent energy company in Singapore, has joined forces with Gentari, a clean energy solutions provider, to explore the import of hydrogen gas from Malaysia. The collaboration, initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to integrate hydrogen into Senoko Energy's gas turbine assets to improve efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. By implementing a 20-year supply agreement starting in 2029, the project targets a significant annual reduction of approximately 18,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, equivalent to taking 4,000 cars off the roads. This endeavor supports Singapore's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. The partnership reflects a shared enthusiasm for leveraging hydrogen to drive sustainable energy practices and create a low-carbon future.
