ACWA Power, known for its expertise in water desalination and energy transition, has partnered with Snam, a key player in European natural gas infrastructure, to explore joint investments in establishing a green hydrogen supply chain to Europe. With ACWA Power's experience in green hydrogen and ammonia production in Saudi Arabia, this collaboration aims to create a dependable and cost-effective supply route for green hydrogen to Europe. The focus will be on leveraging the South H2 Corridor, a corridor stretching 3,300km through Italy, Austria, and Germany. The partnership also includes evaluating the development of an ammonia import terminal in Italy to support the delivery of green hydrogen. This initiative aligns with both companies' commitment to advancing energy security and transitioning towards Net Zero emissions. By combining their strengths and resources, ACWA Power and Snam aim to play a significant role in promoting sustainable energy solutions and contributing to the global fight against climate change.
