The alliance between Enagás, GRTgaz, OGE, REN, Teréga, Moeve, thyssenkrupp nucera, DH2, Elyse energy, HDF, Hynamics, QAIR, SEFE, SHS-Stahl-Holding-Saar, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, and H2med aims to establish the H2med Southwestern Hydrogen Corridor by the early 2030s. This initiative, announced at the German Embassy in Madrid, focuses on accelerating the decarbonization of industrial regions and building a robust European hydrogen value chain. The alliance aligns with the European Green Deal and Fit for 55 goals, aiming to contribute to a sustainable and competitive European industry. By collaborating on strategic projects, the alliance seeks to drive both hydrogen supply and demand, ensuring optimal conditions for development. Through this partnership, the participants will work on expanding the hydrogen network projects, connecting production, storage, and consumption projects to enhance the hydrogen economy in Europe. The alliance underscores the importance of hydrogen in decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors and highlights the need for a trans-European hydrogen ecosystem. By focusing on cooperation and coordination, the alliance aims to enhance the competitiveness of the European industry and ensure the long-term security of energy supply. Members will meet regularly to identify synergies and opportunities, with plans to incorporate more companies and regions in the future with government support.
