Energy and marine consultancy ABL Group has partnered with AquaVentus, an initiative focused on generating 10 GW of green hydrogen from offshore wind in the North Sea by 2035. The project intends to produce one million tonnes of green hydrogen annually and transport it to land via pipelines. ABL Group, with local offices in North Sea countries, will provide engineering and marine consultancy services to support the AquaVentus consortium. Their experience in offshore engineering and hydrogen will assist in pipeline engineering management and discipline engineering services. ABL Group's past projects include involvement in the NEOM green hydrogen project and a green hydrogen production and storage barge concept. Nils Falkenhorst, Country Manager to OWC in Germany, highlighted ABL Group's extensive experience in hydrogen projects globally, positioning them well to aid the AquaVentus consortium. This collaboration signifies a significant step towards enhancing green hydrogen infrastructure and fostering sustainable practices in the North Sea region.
