The discussions involved assessing feasibility for infrastructure development, regulatory and technology collaboration, and enhancing supply chains for green hydrogen. Both parties have committed to working together on these initiatives to drive the energy transition. The 3rd Phase of the India-EU Clean Energy and Climate Partnership 2025-28 was adopted with a focus on deeper collaboration in priority areas such as regional connectivity, offshore wind, and energy efficiency. Additionally, India and the EU have agreed to engage in long-term research partnerships to support clean energy projects. The partnership also involves joint efforts to promote clean and green technologies through conferences like the International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024 in India and the European Hydrogen Week 2024. The participation of the EU in the International Solar Alliance and cooperation within the International Energy Agency and G20 framework were also highlighted. The meeting, co-chaired by officials from the Ministry of External Affairs (India) and the European Commission, signifies a significant step towards enhancing energy cooperation, promoting renewable energy, and fostering international relations between India and the EU.
