India has been announced as the exclusive partner for the European Hydrogen Week scheduled to take place in November 2024. The International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2024) held in New Delhi marked this strategic partnership. The event emphasized India's commitment to address green regulations set by the EU to enhance exports and promote the use of hydrogen as an alternative to fossil fuels. A Letter of Intent was signed between Chane Terminal from the Netherlands and ACME Cleantech from India for Ammonia import terminals, signifying bilateral cooperation. Sessions chaired by prominent figures like Power Secretary Pankaj Agarwal and Jorgo Chatzimarkakis from Hydrogen Europe discussed the role of green hydrogen in global decarbonization efforts, especially with the EU reforming its Emission Trading System. The event showcased over 100 stalls with industry players presenting their cutting-edge technologies in the green hydrogen sector, attracting a diverse audience of academicians, industry experts, start-ups, policy makers, and diplomats. Additionally, various roundtables were held involving countries like Singapore, South Korea, and the US, promoting international collaboration and strategic discussions. The day also featured a national poster competition where participants demonstrated their innovative ideas for a sustainable future.
