Lhyfe, a leading green hydrogen producer, has inked a landmark agreement with H2 MOBILITY Deutschland, a major refueling station developer in Germany, to provide green hydrogen for fuel stations in the region. The partnership entails the supply of renewable hydrogen from Lhyfe's forthcoming production facility in Schwäbisch Gmünd, which is set to become the largest green hydrogen plant in Baden-Württemberg. The agreement spans five years and is geared towards supplying green hydrogen, qualifying as Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO), for the transport sector. Initial deliveries will serve four fuel stations developed by H2 MOBILITY Deutschland, starting with locations in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. The collaboration represents a joint effort to facilitate a large-scale availability of green hydrogen for decarbonizing the mobility sector. Both Lhyfe and H2 MOBILITY Deutschland expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of green hydrogen in achieving environmental sustainability in transportation. Lhyfe's production process involves electrolyzing water using renewable energy sources, aligning with its commitment to spearheading the green hydrogen market in Europe. In Germany, the company aims to solidify its position as a key player in green hydrogen by 2025, focusing on delivering bulk green hydrogen to customers. On the other hand, H2 MOBILITY Deutschland aims to transition its entire network to green hydrogen by 2028, with plans to introduce new refueling stations offering green hydrogen from 2025 onwards, thereby contributing significantly to making the transport sector more environmentally friendly. The partnership signifies a step forward in advancing the adoption of green hydrogen in the European market, particularly in the mobility and industrial sectors.
