Lhyfe and KEYOU have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance hydrogen mobility in Southern Germany. Lhyfe is constructing its largest green hydrogen production facility in Schwäbisch Gmünd near Stuttgart, with a daily capacity of 4 tonnes. The company has secured a 15-year renewable electricity supply contract with EDP Renewables. Lhyfe will supply green hydrogen to four filling stations operated by H2 MOBILITY Deutschland, starting in 2025, including locations in Mannheim and Heidelberg. On the other hand, KEYOU is known for its expertise in hydrogen combustion engines and aims to convert diesel trucks into hydrogen vehicles compliant with EU zero-CO2 regulations. They plan to deploy 100 hydrogen vehicles in Southern Germany between 2026 and 2030. The partnership aims to establish infrastructure for renewable hydrogen production and heavy-duty vehicle use, starting in Baden-Württemberg. Both companies are enthusiastic about the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of green hydrogen for a sustainable energy transition. KEYOU will leverage Lhyfe's digital platform, Lhyfe Heroes, to promote its hydrogen vehicles. This partnership signifies a significant step towards leveraging green hydrogen for sustainable mobility solutions in Germany and Europe.
