Lhyfe, a prominent player in the green hydrogen sector in France, has announced a significant partnership with Masdar, a company based in Abu Dhabi known for its focus on renewable energy. The collaboration between Lhyfe and Masdar is centered around the co-development of large-scale green hydrogen production projects in Europe. Lhyfe, founded in 2019, has quickly established itself with operational sites across Europe and a substantial project pipeline boasting a total capacity of 9.5GW. On the other hand, Masdar is a key player in the renewable energy industry, setting ambitious targets with a goal of reaching a 100GW capacity for green hydrogen production by 2030. During the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed, formalizing the partnership between Lhyfe and Masdar. This partnership underscores the significance of Europe in the future landscape of green hydrogen production. Leaders from both companies, such as Masdar's Chief Green Hydrogen Officer, Mohammad El Ramahi, and Lhyfe's CEO, Matthieu Guesné, have expressed their commitment to accelerating the decarbonization of industries by leveraging green hydrogen. The joint efforts of Lhyfe and Masdar signify a step towards sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the energy sector, aligning with the global push for cleaner energy sources.
