French intermodal logistics solutions provider, Modalis Group, has acquired Air Flow, a hydrogen and industrial gas logistics specialist, to strengthen its presence in the hydrogen and carbon capture logistics industry. Air Flow, founded in 2004 in Aix-en-Provence, France, offers transport and storage solutions for various gas types, including hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and liquefied natural gas. With logistics hubs in Antwerp, Algeciras, Singapore, and Houston, the company caters to customers in more than 100 countries, boasting a significant fleet of cryogenic containers and high-pressure gas containers. The acquisition will enable Modalis to expand its capabilities in hydrogen logistics, leveraging Air Flow's expertise in hydrogen transportation, storage, and maintenance. Modalis, along with its engineering firm Altech, will collaborate with Air Flow to provide a complete hydrogen logistics solution, incorporating advanced technologies for efficient long-haul transportation. Moreover, the partnership will focus on developing carbon capture logistics, aiming to address decarbonization challenges across various industries. Modalis Group envisions a turnover of 100 million euros in 2024, with a strong emphasis on international growth and continuous investment in fleet enhancement. The company also plans to explore further acquisitions in 2025 to solidify its position in the industry.
