Provaris Energy Ltd (ASX:PV1, OTC:GBBLF) and Norwegian Hydrogen have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uniper Global Commodities SE to expand the regional hydrogen supply chain in Europe. The collaboration focuses on supplying renewable fuel of non-biological origin (RFNBO)-compliant hydrogen, in alignment with the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive and REPowerEU plan objectives. Green hydrogen produced by Norwegian Hydrogen will be transported using Provaris’ H2Neo carriers and H2Leo storage barges, emphasizing energy and capital efficiency. This strategic partnership aims to address the increasing hydrogen demand in Germany, crucial for its industrial sectors and decarbonization goals. The partnership with Uniper, a major German energy company, highlights the significance of diverse supply options for integration into the national hydrogen infrastructure, ensuring competitiveness and meeting decarbonization targets.
