SAS has announced its participation in a collaborative effort between Danish green hydrogen producers and Dutch industrial markets to establish a leading green hydrogen cluster in Northwest Europe. The partnership, formalized at the Dutch-Danish Forum on hydrogen cooperation, aims to bridge Danish production with Dutch demand. By focusing on enhancing green hydrogen infrastructure, boosting demand, advocating for government support, and securing funding, the collaboration seeks to make green hydrogen a competitive energy source across the region. The declaration was signed in the presence of key figures including His Majesty the King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, His Majesty King Frederik of Denmark, Dutch Deputy Prime Minister Sophie Hermans, and Danish Minister Lars Aagaard. SAS expressed enthusiasm about joining the green hydrogen partnership, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in advancing sustainability in aviation. The airline emphasized the necessity for collaborative efforts between public and private sectors, as well as different countries, to build a robust green hydrogen market.
