TE H2, a joint-venture between TotalEnergies and EREN Groupe, partnered with VERBUND, Austria's leading electricity company, to collaborate on the 'H2 Notos' project in Tunisia. The project aims to produce green hydrogen using renewable energy sources and desalinated sea water. Initially targeting 200,000 tonnes annually, the project has the potential to scale up to a million tonnes with the support of TE H2 and VERBUND. VERBUND will oversee the transportation of hydrogen to Central Europe through the 'SoutH2 Corridor', a pipeline project slated for completion by 2030. The collaboration aims to leverage the expertise of both companies in green energy production and distribution to bring sustainable and accessible energy to a wider market.
